Blocked by a Burlington Northern Sante Fe construction barge, wood debris brought down by last December’s atmospheric river events piles up at the mouth of the White Salmon River on Dec. 19. 

SKAMANIA CO. — In response to a request from Gov. Bob Ferguson, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that low interest federal disaster loans to Washington businesses, private nonprofits and residents to offset physical and economic losses from storms last December. 

Two atmospheric rivers tore through the Gorge and the Pacific Northwest in mid-December, bringing high winds, outages and moderate flooding locally, as previously reported by Columbia Gorge News
