Defensive lineman Jalen Carter of the Philadelphia Eagles, walking off the field after being ejected for spitting on Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott last week, was fined one game paycheck for his conduct but the NFL considered his ejection after six seconds as time served on a suspension

Philadelphia Eagles defensive standout Jalen Carter was ejected from the NFL season-opener on Thursday before playing a snap for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Play was paused after an injury to Eagles special teams player Ben VanSumeren on the kickoff at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
