Some 40 people gathered in The Dalles to protest the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2020 insurrection. “I am a big believer in the power of protest, looking at it historically, and protestors, to increase awareness of concerns,” Connie Krummrich, local organizer of protests, seen above in front of the line of letters. Some of the group also protests weekly in front of the post office. “It’s growing a little bit,” said Krummrich. The local Protect Oregon’s Progress group and Wasco County Democrats form the core.
