HOOD RIVER — Returning to the Hood River Elks Lodge for what has become a holiday tradition, CGOA’s Jazz Collective Big Band presents an evening of danceable jazz and holiday favorites arranged with a touch of swing on Nov. 22, 7 p.m.
The lodge is at 304 Cascade Ave., Hood River.
The Jazz Collective began presenting swing dances in 2018, popular with local swing dancers around the Gorge. Of course, people can come and enjoy the music without dancing.
The Jazz Collective, under the direction of Michael Paul, will play audience favorites like Bandstand Boogie, A String of Pearls, Cold Duck Time and One O’Clock Jump, as well as popular songs like Sleigh Ride and Jingle Bells, all done up in big band style.
Tickets are $10 at the door or online at gorgeorchestra.org. High school and college students free with school ID at door.
