HOOD RIVER — Whitney Osborn of Hood River opened Spirited Roots Farm this summer. Located off Highway 35 at 3471 Neal Creek Road, and open Friday through Sunday, dawn to dusk, the farmstand “[offers] visitors a unique shopping experience that embodies the farm’s commitment to accessibility and community connection,” said a press release, with a variety of farm-grown flower bouquets, jams, syrups, seasonal produce and nature-inspired décor.

Formerly a nurse practitioner, Osborn’s return home to Hood River “represented both a personal homecoming and a professional pivot toward entrepreneurship and a more nature-connected lifestyle,” said the press release. Along with the self-serve farmstand, Osborn’s flowers can be found at the Mercado del Valle on Thursdays in Odell, and the Sellwood-Moreland Farmer’s Market on Saturdays in Portland. Dani’s Kitchen Shop at 1545 Osprey Drive in Hood River will have Osborne’s grab-and-go bouquets as well on Fridays.
