Hood River County School District (HRCSD) honored its theater and performing arts programs in secondary schools at the March 11 school board meeting. More than 200 students participate in performances every year between Hood River Valley High and Wy’east and Hood River middle schools, said Human Resources Director Gus Hedberg. As is tradition, those honored take a photo with Superintendent Bill Newton — who was in Pittsburgh for a conference and attending virtually. Pictured, left to right, are Cori Elam, Hood River Middle; Joan Roes and Anders Foster, Wy’east Middle; and Ben Tell, Hood River Middle.
