Barry, author of “Bonneville Lock and Dam: A Gift from the People of the Great Depression,” spent nearly three decades as the lead park ranger at the dam’s visitor center and will share stories on this Northwest icon in an interactive, illustrated talk. The event begins at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Chapel, 601 Union St., The Dalles. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

“He’ll be covering everything from construction, to floods, to power, river traffic, salmon, Bonneville in films and television and more,” said a press release. “Test your knowledge about Bonneville while you enjoy rare photos.”
