Port of Hood River collection on loan of Hood River White Salmon Bridge photographs, other Port properties, aeriaal views

Last week’s Mystery was a photo taken in the basement of the Heimrich House, in The Dalles. Built in 1926 in the English Tudor style, it was bought by Edward Seufert around 1933. He had this peculiar “fish room” painted in his basement. The photo was taken by Gladys Seufert and is held at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center as collections item 1997.13.078A.015.

And we also heard from Chelsea Allen and Tracee, who identified the young rodeo queens in the previous week’s Mystery, being crowned for the first-ever The Dalles Rodeo in 1966.
