Last week’s Mystery was a photo taken in the basement of the Heimrich House, in The Dalles. Built in 1926 in the English Tudor style, it was bought by Edward Seufert around 1933. He had this peculiar “fish room” painted in his basement.

Last week’s photo, according to stories we found in a July 15, 1966 edition of The Dalles Chronicle, showed Rodeo Queen Vicki Crone being crowned at “the Armory.”

The 91st annual Ketchum Kalf Rodeo is in the books. I’m very proud of our Glenwood Rodeo Association for working so hard, going above and beyond, to make it a great success.

Our young Glenwood cowgirls, Joslyn Arnold and Peyton Sanchey, had a great time at the National Pro Rodeo (NPRA) Finals in Salem last weekend. While the Finals didn’t go as well for Peyton in Barrel Racing as she had hoped, qualifying for the Finals and finishing 9th overall for the year is really something to be proud of.
