Last week’s image, right, showed the Red team preparing to complete in the Powder Puff Football game of Oct. 1966, whatever that was. Shown is Coach Dick Barnett, explaining what a football is, according to the caption in The Dalles Chronicle. The game was held at Amotan field. Players shown are Susan Arestad, Linda Bisset, Diane Shchroeder and Marien Ingebo.

How about this image, above? It was submitted by Janice Crane of the Cascade Locks history museum. Send your stories to Martin Gibson at florag@gorgenews.com or 541-993-1801, and we’ll publish what we learn next week!
