Harvest Fest returns this weekend.
Gorge Fruit and Craft Fair happens at the Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Hood River Chamber of Commerce hosts Harvest Fest, both running through Sunday.
Harvest Fest hours are 1-6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Harvest pie eating contest is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., and live music starts at 11 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
“Resurgence,” the nationally-award-winning “rat rod” will be on display at Harvest Fest. The long and “wicked” dragster-style creation was created this summer by the folks at Resurrected Rust Garage.
On Sunday, the Matthews family band leads a 10 a.m. church service under the tent.
Tickets are being sold for the Harvest Quilt, this year benefitting Hood River Adopt-A-Dog, and the drawing happens on Sunday.
The Fruit and Craft Fair at the fairgrounds features fresh fruit, arts and crafts, gourmet food products, flowers, baked goods, wines, jewelry, furniture, plants and flowers, soft goods, and more. Admission and parking are free. Saturday highlights include Odell Garden Club annual autumn flower show and sale, Special Olympics’ fundraiser, Ranch sorting competition, and Cow Pie Bingo on Saturday. Gorge Strings will perform on Sunday afternoon.
