HOOD RIVER — Alternative comedian Eddie Pepitone will headline The Button Bridge Comedy Jamborita at the Hood River Elk Lodge on Nov. 7-8 on the heels of his latest stand-up special “The Collapse.”
Known as a master of dark comedy who channels the power of the rant, Pepitone is often compared to Jackie Gleason, Don Rickles and Eckhart Tolle. “Eddie is a force of nature on stage, switching between social rage and self-doubt,” said a press release. “His shows are an energetic combo of calm and chaos, blue-collar angst and sardonic enlightenment.”
“The Collapse,” which premiered on streaming platform VEEPS earlier this year, is a classic Pepitone romp, barreling through the heightened emotions and anxieties of modern life with a jovial energy.
His previous stand-up special, “For the Masses,” was released in June 2020 and named amongst the Best Comedy of 2020 by the New York Times.
In addition to his stand-up routine, Pepitone is a recognized character actor. Hailing from New York City’s improv scene, Pepitone scored recurring roles on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and appearances on WTF with Marc Maron. Most recently, Eddie appeared in Max’s Haley Quinn spin-off “Kite Man,” “Hell Yea!,” Hulu’s “Ramy,” and Nickelodeon’s “Rock Paper Scissors.”
