Caught on camera: Coyote sneaks up on unsuspecting bear

One of the Ruoff family wildlife cameras, located by the stream that runs through their property near Parkdale, as well as many other properties in that area, recently recorded a coyote nipping — yes, nipping — a black bear in the hind leg. “In the 21 months since we installed a few wildlife cameras in this area, we have had four separate bear sightings (although the bear in this video dwarfs the other three), endless coyote and raccoon sightings, but also great footage of an owl, as well as various other sightings of possum, mink, bull deer, and perhaps elk,” said Ken Ruoff.
