Cancer Survivors and their friends and families are invited to join a state-wide effort to reduce the incidence and burden of cancer in Oregon, starting April 5-7.
Hood River County Prevention Department is offering free weekly walking groups, in partnership with OHSU’s Oregon Community Cancer Research Collaborative and Knight Cancer Institute Community Partnership Program.
Kick Off events are being held in The Dalles and in Hood River:
The Dalles event will be on April 5 from noon to 12:30 p.m. Meet in the Mid-Columbia Medical Center atrium at 1700 E. 19th St.
The Hood River event will be on April 7 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Meet in front of the entrance to Mt. Hood Railroad at 110 Railroad St.
At the first gathering, meet the walking leaders, receive a welcome packet and learn about the weekly walking groups.
