Rockford Grange will hold a plant sale on Sunday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The plant sale is coordinated with the Westside Fire District’s Annual Pancake Breakfast, which starts at 7 a.m. and goes until 11 a.m.
The plant sale features eight varieties of peppers and tomatoes, plus kale, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages, kohlrabi, spinach, onions, herbs, flowers, squash — summer and winter — pumpkins, melons, cucumbers, eggplants, fennel, ever-bearing raspberries, black currant plants, heirloom roses, hostas and small trees.
You’ll find the plant sale on the west side of the Grange building. The sale is a fundraiser for the 100-plus year old Rockford Grange, an organization that dates back to the end of the Civil War era. The Grange is committed to agriculture, community and civic leadership.
Rockford Grange is located at 4250 Barrett Road, next to the West Side Fire Department. Cash or local checks only; no credit or debit cards. More information at rockfordgrange.net.
