When asked about the film’s progress during TheWrap’s Power Women Summit on December 2, 2025 Han shared that there’s been progress on the movie, but that it’s still in the early stages. “I just wrote it,” Han said. “We have not filmed anything yet.” She went on to debunk fan theories about a surprise holiday drop in 2026. “I know that everyone hoped that it was coming out this Christmas, but that’s unfortunately not happening, not possible.” Han explained that finishing Season 3 was down to the wire, “So we wouldn’t have had time to film a whole movie.”
