Real Time host Bill Maher blasted Democrats such as former Vice President Kamala Harris and the Clintons for being too afraid to come on his show for an interview.
On the latest episode of his Club Random podcast, guest Will.i.am asked Maher who he’d love to interview but hasn’t yet had a chance to. The comedian replied, per Fox News Digital, “Ironically, mostly Democrats, [but] like, because they’re such p***ies, they won’t come on the show. Like the Clintons, I mean, you know, Kamala, I voted for you.”
Maher continued, “Democrats are p***ies about going anywhere that they’re not already pre-adored. Not all of them, but I mean, somebody… Kamala Harris, I mean, like I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You’re just why she lost.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Will.i.am, who said he’s a Democrat, asked why it seems Democrats these days are a lot more passive than Republicans.
Maher said it’s less about Democrats being passive and more that, “They just came to champion a lot of really silly anti-common sense ideas.” He noted that this wasn’t the case during the Bush and Obama years, describing Obama as “the ultimate pragmatist.”
The late-night host also said that both political parties are “controlled by their fringes,” specifically pointing the finger at younger people. “They have the megaphone, especially on the left. Well, both… It’s younger people,” he explained. “Younger people on both sides are much more radical, and they’re better at social media. They’re better at media. They’re better at getting attention.”
While Maher criticized Harris for not appearing on his show, the former vice president did make her first appearance on Fox News during her 2024 presidential campaign. She sat down with anchor Bret Baier for a testy interview on immigration, transgender care, and other hot topic issues.
Likewise, Hillary Clinton appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace during her 2016 presidential campaign against Donald Trump. So, it appears key Democrat figures don’t so much as have a problem with appearing on conservative networks, but more so don’t want to talk to Bill Maher.
