When Isaac Reynoso was four years old, he was already playing organized, competitive soccer. He joined a local community team in White Salmon, and it was love at first kick.
The Dalles High Riverhawks girls soccer team concluded the season a year ago with a lot of momentum, including a 2-2 tie with Columbia Gorge rival Hood River Valley in the final contest of the year. Unbeaten in four of their final six games, they’re hoping the momentum will carry over into the 2022 season.
The Sherman High Huskies advanced to the 2021 district volleyball tournament, and they return a core group of players from that team this season.
The Dalles High boys soccer team is hoping the late-season success it had last year continues this fall.
The Dalles High cross country team is hosting another community run/walk on Aug. 27. The event is a fund-raiser for the team.
The Mid-Columbia Amateur golf tournament is Sept. 4-5 at The Dalles Country Club.
