HOOD RIVER — The Hood River Library welcomes “Sketch + Release,” a touring multimedia program featuring Black creatives living and working in rural Oregon, on Wednesday, August 5 at 6 PM. The evening will include docu-series episodes, a live performance, and a locally tailored community dialogue, led by “Sketch and Release” creator and multidisciplinary artist Jason McNeal Graham (MOsley WOtta).

“Sketch + Release” is a mobile, short form documentary series where Oregon’s rural landscapes replace the traditional studio. “This project is about making room for Black artists in small towns and for complex stories about who we are becoming,” says Graham. Through intimate portraits of Black creatives, the project invites viewers into kitchens, fields, garages, and back roads where art is made and futures are imagined.
