Hood River Alliance Church, 2650 Montello Ave., will host a summer kids’ vacation bible school event called “Expedition Norway” from June 20-23 and running from 9-11:45 a.m. Children ages 4 to fifth grade are invited to attend.
“’Expedition Norway’ is like taking a trip to Norway,” said Debbie Francis, publicity director. “Kids will sing catchy songs, play high-energy games, dig into yummy Norwegian treats, experience cool Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Makers, and explore what daily life is like for kids in Norway. Plus, kids get to watch a video visit with real kids in Norway each day.”
Each session will conclude with a closing celebration, and friends and family are encouraged to join beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Francis reports that the church hosts 150 or more children each year at their VBS events, which are staffed “by an army” of 80 or more adult and teen volunteers.
There is no fee for “Expedition Norway VBS,” but preregistration is required at hoodriveralliance.org. For more information, call 541-386-2812.
