Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Brian Cochran, born May 4, 1958, in Condon, Oregon, passed away on March 30, 2026, after a life spent in the community he loved. He lived most of his life in Hood River, Oregon, where he built a world shaped by friends, hard work, and a deep willingness to help anyone who needed a hand. Whether it meant fixing something, figuring something out, or simply showing up, Brian was the kind of person people knew they could count on.
Brian spent 25 years working at Hogg and Davis, Inc., where he was known for his mechanical skill, steady presence, and ability to solve problems no one else wanted to touch. Earlier in life, he owned and operated Brian’s Muffler Shop, a business that reflected his talent and independence. When his daughters came to live with him, he chose more stable work — a quiet, practical decision that showed the way he cared.
He is survived by his mom, Eunice; his daughters, Krissy and Kate; his grandchildren, Kole, Kyra, and Taylor; his sister; and his two brothers. He is also remembered by an extensive network of friends who were, in many ways, an extension of his family. Brian will be remembered for his hands-on ingenuity, his loyalty, and the life he built through persistence and heart.
