THE GORGE — As part of the Oregon Rural Urban Project (ORUP), a statewide effort to bridge the divide between rural and urban Oregonians, the Braver Angels are hosting town halls in Hood River and The Dalles on Saturday, Nov. 14th.
ORUP is a pioneering project of Braver Angels, the largest nationwide effort to bring Americans together across the political divide. The town halls are a concerted effort to engage with community members and leaders in Hood River and Wasco counties, to hear your thoughts and ideas.
We are particularly interested in learning what you think has caused the rural-urban divide, and what could help bridge it. It is critical that we talk with folks like you who are likely to have their finger on the pulse of the community! The town halls will be an open forum for sharing and listening to community members. Here are the details:
The Town Halls are a hybrid format so you can attend online if that is more convenient. Regardless of whether you plan to attend in person or via Zoom, we would appreciate it if you would register in advance. If you want to attend via Zoom, then you must register in advance in order to receive the Zoom details.
In the standardized registration form there is a box that asks you to indicate an amount for a donation. However, all our events are free. If you see a box asking you to donate, you can simply put a “0” in the box and everything should go smoothly.
Email Braver Angels Columbia Gorge Alliance Co-Chair Doug Roof at droof@braverangels.org if you have additional questions.
