THE DALLES — Around 100 people turned out to hold signs and gather together to protest the recent ICE involved shootings in Minnesota and Portland while standing on the corners of Union and W. Second streets Jan. 9. The protest was organized by POP, or Protect Oregon’s Progress, a group that says they defend democracy and justice for all.
POP is part of the Consolidated Oregon Indivisible Network. The group, who holds protests every Friday said they held today’s rally to continue to shine light on the “recent atrocities” going on across the nation right now with the current administration.
