Contributed photoTHE DALLES — A search warrant in West The Dalles uncovered illegal guns, ammunition, body armor and drugs on Sept. 5, for which 50-year-old resident Anthony Hithe is charged.
The Mid-Columbia Narcotics Task Force and Northern Oregon Regional Tactical Team served the warrant. The guns, gun parts, armor and ammunition, and commercial quantities of presumptive marijuana and methamphetamine were seized. Drug samples will be analyzed by the State Police Crime Lab.
Hithe was arrested at the residence on charges of felon in possession of firearms, endangering a minor’s welfare, possession of drugs, illegal transfer of firearms, possession and delivery the drugs, and possession of armor-piercing ammunition and body armor.
MINT and NORTAC members come from Wasco, Hood River, Gilliam, and Sherman county sheriff’s offices and The Dalles and Hood River police departments. Patrol officers also helped.
Hithe is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
