THE GORGE — Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) announces the release of its comprehensive 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, outlining the organization's priorities for building a better future for community members across Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties over the next five years. The 2025-2030 Strategic Plan has three focus areas: strengthening the organization’s systems and communications, advancing equity and language access, and sustaining effective programs and services.

"This strategic plan represents our commitment to building lasting solutions that address the root causes of poverty in our region," said Leslie Naramore, MCCAC's executive director. “In the past several years, Mid-Columbia Community Action Council has expanded our services significantly to better serve the community, and now we’re focused on stabilizing so we can continue our important work moving forward. We've listened to community members and partners, analyzed local needs, and developed a roadmap that will help us to better serve families and individuals who are working toward stability and self-sufficiency. Our team stands ready to continue this important work regardless of what the next few years might bring."
