The Spelling Bee results are as follows: First grade winner is Andrew McFall; second grade, Kinley Troh; third grade, Madi Couch; fourth grade, Colton Troh; fifth grade, Michaela Ergart; sixth grade, Rebecca Hallenbeck; seventh grade, Jonathan Throop; eighth grade, Jaylin Throop. Congratulations to all of you.
This year the Glenwood School is doing something different. The eighth grade graduation and high school graduation are both on June 6. The eighth grade graduation starts at noon and high school graduation is at 2 p.m. The Glenwood seniors this year are Neola Putnum, Krista Hansen and Patrick Coffin. Congratulations.
There has been a change on where Patrick Coffin will be having his graduation celebration. It has changed from the Murray house to Chris Kuhnhausen's home. It will take place right after graduation.
James Dean received the first Hero of the Year award chosen by the the leadership class of the Glenwood School this year, for helping save a person in a car wreck last year. He went way above and beyond to help. Thanks James Dean. He received a medal for being a brave hero. This was the first award given to a hero from the Glenwood School.
Neola Putnum went to state track in Cheney last weekend she won first place in the 800 and the 1600. Also her 4x4 relay team took first. The TLG girls also won state for the third year in a row. Congratulations Neola and the rest of the team.
The Glenwood Rodeo association would like to thank every one who helped serve food at the Klickitat Trek this weekend. So, thanks everyone.
Church and Sunday school are going to summer hours; Sunday school will be at 9 a.m. and church at 10.
On June 7 at 6 p.m. there will be a Love and Respect seminar at the church. It is a perspective on how women and men think. It doesn't matter if you are just getting married or have been married for 20 or more years. Pastor Butch Hallenbeck and Les Haartstad will be leading the discussion. Everyone is welcome.
Mt. Adams Resource Stewards (MARS) is requesting bids to construct 1.7 miles of fence on Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Bid information is available at the Glenwood Post Office, or by calling 364-4110. Bids are due by noon, June 11.
The MARS truck scale off of Draper Springs Rd. is now operational and open to the public for $6 per pass. If you need to have something weighed, please call to arrange at 364-4110, as the scale is not always staffed.
