Fermented foods coming to WS Farmers’ Market via Blue Bus

Colin and Kristin Franger stand among kohlrabi and cabbage at their farm up Snowden Road. The Frangers and their business, Blue Bus Cultured Foods, will be among the newest additions to the White Salmon Farmers Market this summer and will provide fermented foods, like sauerkraut, “kraut-chi,” and kombucha.

For Colin and Kristin Franger it all started in a big blue bus.

When the couple met in Bend in 2007, Kristin had relocated to Oregon from Vermont to work in wilderness therapy programs for troubled youth, a field Colin was also interested in.
