RACQUETBALL enthusiasts from the Hood River Valley and beyond participated earlier this month in the Harvest Fest Racquetball Tournament hosted by the Hood River Sports Club.
Submitted photoThe Hood River Sports Club hosted the Harvest Fest Racquetball Tournament Nov. 5-8. Players from the Portland area came and enjoyed the fun atmosphere and challenging competition. HRSC hosts two tournaments a year with 40-60 participants in each tournament. Results from the tournament are as follows:
Singles:
First-place: A division: Jorge Caldera, Hood River; B division: Rob Hegemann, Hood River; C division: Rye Barrentine, Hood River. Second place: A division: Rick Campbell; B division: Wyatt Wall; C divison: Ryan Wallen.
Doubles:
First place: Advanced Doubles: Rafael Landeros and Dan Ziegenbein, Hood River; Intermediate Doubles: Ryan Brown and Jess Hodges, Salem; Mixed Doubles: Shawn Wilson and Jeanne Klein, Portland. Second Place: Advanced Doubles: Jorge Caldera and Dave Smock, Hood River; Intermediate Doubles Amodo Valader and Tom Zink, The Dalles; Mixed Doubles: Alice Clark and Rafael Landeros, Hood River.
