THE DALLES — Harley Scott finished second to lead The Dalles boys wrestling team at the Jan. 24 Tualatin Invitational tournament.
The Riverhawks finished 17th out of 21 teams in the tourney, which featured many 6A and 5A schools.
Scott, a senior, won three of four matches in the tourney, his lone loss coming to Finn Hesiak of Bend’s Summit High in the 144-pound final. Scott was a 4A state tourney wrestler a season ago for The Dalles.
Four other Riverhawk wrestlers won at least two matches at Tualatin. Kaedyn Linker was 3-2 at 215 pounds. Eoin Herman was 3-2 at 285 pounds. Gabe Phipps (157) and Liem Jensen (132) both won two of four matches for The Dalles, finishing with 66 total team points.
