Hood River Valley Swim Team was represented by eight of its best on Sunday at the annual Oregon Swimming Top 5 Awards Ceremony at Canby High School. The ceremony recognizes swimmers who posted top five times for individual events during the 2012-13 swimming season. Those recognized were Sarah Arpag, Shea Kasenga, Chad Klaas, Emilio Castaneda, Dhani Freeland, Mariah Rawding, Connor Webb and Scott Bergstrom.

Last weekend, HRVST swimmers were in Portland for the Portland Aquatic Club’s Fall Invitational Swim Meet. Highlighting the team’s performances were first-place finishes by Sarah Arpag, Mariah Rawding and Thea Smith, while many others made the list below of top-10 finishes.
