Engel grand slam ends Hawks mercy-rule win

RJ Hicks makes a heads-up play at home to prevent a run.

Micah Engel had two home runs, including a walk-off grand slam in the sixth inning, to lead the Horizon Christian School baseball team to a 17-7 comeback victory Monday evening at Collins Field.

The Hawks were outplayed early in the game, falling behind 5-0 at one point before coming alive offensively in the bottom of the third. Four runs in that inning, followed by a fiery eight-run fifth and another five runs in the sixth gave the Hawks the mercy-rule victory.
