Choo, choo — all aboard the Art Train

Choo, choo — all aboard the Art Train: The Mt. Hood Fruit Company welcomed spring with their second Art Train. This event is hosted by local artist Jordan Kim, a mixed media collage artist and ecologist who has spent 20 years in the Gorge. Kim led 52 passengers through a collage inspired by the mountains and fruit trees of the Gorge. There were families, couples, friends, and one excited bachelorette party on the train enjoying the experience. “I wanted to create more activities in the train,” said Cara Fischer, hospitality director for Mt. Hood Fruit Company.

 Failures

The United States government is the largest financial institution in the universe. We have the most vehicles, most airplanes, road signs, etc. The 1984 Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), codified in title 48 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations controls all acquisitions of goods and services. These rules have a constitutional basis, such as needing Congressional appropriations, and the 14th Amendment equal protection of the law. Most every corporation and business has a “mission statement” which talks about maximizing shareholder wealth, etc.
