Turn out at wellness fair despite rain

WHITE SALMON — Despite the rain, turnout was good for the White Salmon Family Wellness Fair on May 15 that focused on wellness resources in the Gorge. Vendors included Skyline Hospital, One Community Health, Washington Gorge Action Programs, Mid-Columbia Children’s Council, Gorge MakerSpace and Whitson Elementary, plus more than 30 other partners. There was information on summer camps, youth sports, affordable medical care, mental health supports, early childhood education, family bonding, child development, safety skills, community wellbeing and nutrition assistance. Sunrise juice, based in Bingen, provided complimentary sandwiches and juice, and the Rotary Club provided Beneventi’s Pizza for all those who attended, with additional treats at other booths.
