THE DALLES — Columbia Basin Care extends its heartfelt gratitude to Valerie Hiveley-Blatz, geriatric nurse practitioner, for her dedication and years of service at the facility.
Hiveley-Blatz will step down as assistant medical director of Columbia Basin Care on May 31 to pursue new opportunities, marking the end of an era.
Hiveley-Blatz served as both nurse practitioner and assistant medical director with commitment and expertise. Her impact on the well-being of many residents has been significant, managers said.
“We are profoundly grateful for the privilege of collaborating with Valerie and her exceptional team, and we wish her endless joy and success in the journey ahead,” said Aubree Schreiner, executive director.
Columbia Basin Care welcomes Dr. Elizabeth Flores, MD, who will serve as new medical director and Kara Cooper, NP, as the assistant medical director.
Flores is an MD physician with specialized training in geriatrics, and Cooper is a nationally certified adult nurse practitioner specializing in geriatrics.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Flores and Kara Cooper, NP to our team and are eager to continue providing the community with exemplary care and services,” said Schreiner.
