Gas thefts in Hood River County — Two people got $100 of gas on a stolen credit card on Baseline Drive in Parkdale July 2. The same day, a card stolen from a car on Tucker Road was also used to fuel up in Parkdale. On Aug. 5 in Hood River, fleet fuel cards were taken from Mid-Columbia Children’s Council.

Search and rescues assisted by Hood River Sheriff’s Office — On July 5, a stranded motorist on Road 1811; July 7, officers joined Crag Rats to find two hikers on Timberline Trail; on July 27, officers again joined Crag Rats and PNW SAR to look for a 31-year-old hiker on the Timberline Trail near Cloud Cap, and at the same time, received a report of another person needing help on the trail at the Elliot drainage crossing.
