THE DALLES — The North Wasco County Education Foundation has announced the recipients of its 13 Spring Classroom Mini-Grant awards utilizing the $7,500 available for this round of grants.
These classroom mini-grants are made possible thanks to a grant from Google, which continues to support hands-on, student-centered learning in our local schools, said a press release.
Awardees are:
• Ann Zuehlke, The Dalles Middle School — Reading Intervention Headsets ($300)
• Heidi Bodolay, Colonel Wright Elementary School — Life-long Learners student resources ($250)
• Daniel Campagna, The Dalles High School — STEM Club Maker Space ($840.91)
• Rebecca Lindley, Mosier Community School — Dramatic Play Kitchen for Kindergarten ($300)
• Danielle Barriga, The Dalles Middle School — Reading and performance of “Novio Boy” by Gary Soto ($110)
• Diana Robertson, Chenowith Elementary School — Newcomer English Vocabulary Learning Kits ($134.85)
• Luke Vieira, Colonel Wright Elementary School — SECRETS Science Curriculum Support ($1,000)
• Kim Kiser, Colonel Wright Elementary School — SECRETS Science Curriculum Support ($1,000)
• Tim Chance, Colonel Wright Elementary School — Interactive Frog Dissection Models ($150)
• Susana Reyes Montes, Chenowith Elementary School — Exploring Habitats and the Universe ($916.51)
• Katelyn Hernandez, Dry Hollow Elementary School — Hatching Chicks and Learning Life Cycles ($986.11)
• Jodi Ketchum, Colonel Wright Elementary School — Language Learning Through Play ($600.69)
• Janet Barker, Mosier Community School — Building Inquiry Through Outdoor Science ($909.99)
