Staff Sgt. Patrick Hartford of the Civil Air Patrol’s Gorge Composite Squadron plants a flag at Idlewilde Cemetery in Hood River on May 23, along with Cadet Cpts. Isaiah Walker and Connor Plumb. Soon-to-be-cadet Oliver Pantages and several community members also helped mark the grave of every veteran laid to rest there prior to a ceremony Memorial Day morning.
