HOOD RIVER — The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) will host the 2024 Hood River Fly-In at the Hood River Airport on Sept. 7-8. Everyone is invited to enjoy the hundreds of airplanes they expect to arrive from across the country. Admission includes entrance to the museum, activities, and access to the event grounds where visitors can roam among visiting airplanes and talk with pilots. Food all day, both days, from local restaurants including the Hood River Eye Openers Lions Club serving a pancake breakfast in the morning.
Biplane rides and Ford Trimotor rides are popular and will fly all day both days, giving passengers an aerial view of the Fly-In, Hood and Columbia Rivers, City of Hood River and orchards in the valley.
Fly-in hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $20 adults and seniors, $10 youth ages 5-18 and active duty military personnel. You can ask for the Two-Day Admission Deal of just $25 for adults and $13 for youth. Details at www.waaamuseum.org or call 541-308-1600.
