Earth Day at Nichols Area

On April 22 Columbia Riverkeeper hosted an Earth Day Cleanup with support from Footwise Hood River and the Hampton Inn & Suites Hood River. More than 30 volunteers from the community including students from Hood River County Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program; and Riverside Community Church, UCC members, gathered 33 bags of trash along the Hood and Columbia River, while removing blackberries and spreading mulch at Nichols Natural Area.
