DUFUR — Celebrate Oregon agriculture with a weekend of old-time activities in downtown Dufur Aug. 8-9, hosted annually by the Dufur Living History Museum.
“We’re keeping the old farming traditions and history alive before we forget and lose them,” said Dufur Historical Society President and Director Nancy Gibson. “Regardless of where they come from, folks who come here feel a connection to their roots and the beauty of the land here.”
On Saturday, Aug. 8, the day starts at 7 a.m. with a country breakfast served at he city park. The Dufur Threshing Bee Parade will later wind through Main Street before local farmers and ranchers bring out their antique farm equipment to demonstrate harvesting, threshing and more, with locally grown wheat.
Other events include craft booths, quilt show, yard sales, petting zoo, tours of a one-room schoolhouse and blacksmith shop, and a classic car show.
