STEVENSON — The Columbia Gorge Museum (CGM) invites the public to celebrate its 31st anniversary on May 16 from noon to 4 p.m., showcasing the great outdoors with themed activities, music, cake, and ice cream. Admission is free and all ages are encouraged to join in on the fun.
“The 31st Anniversary Celebration: Our Great Outdoors” highlights the amazing ecological richness of the Gorge and the museum’s collection. The celebration includes a bird walk and bird talk by an expert naturalist, lacemaking with an ecological twist, bird ID coloring pages, live music by Whiskey Flats Brass Band, and a flag raising with help from Coy-Catlin Post 137. There will be several new exhibitions inside the museum to enjoy.
CGM highlights and supports local artists and educating their community on the Gorge and beyond. It invites the public to learn more about the art and history in their region through new exhibitions and events at the museum.
To celebrate the anniversary, visit the CGM at 990 SW Rock Creek Drive. For more information on “Our Great Outdoors: 31st Anniversary Celebration,” upcoming exhibitions, and events at the Museum, visit their website at columbiagorgemuseum.org or call 509-427-8211.
