A FATAL CRASH Sunday morning in Carson, at the corner of Hot Springs Avenue and Smith Beckon Road, resulted in one death and three injuries.

Skamania County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a crash in Carson at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
A 1993 Honda Civic was traveling south on Smith Beckon Road when it collided with a 2002 Acura near Hot Springs Avenue, according to the sheriff’s office.
The passenger in the Honda, 21-year-old James Pat, died at the scene, the sheriff’s office reported.
The driver of the Honda, Tanner Lloyd, 21, of Stabler, was trapped in the vehicle and emergency personnel extricated him and took him to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
The two occupants of the Acura, 19-year-old Rylie Olsen, who was driving, and 20-year-old Faith Udall, a passenger, were also taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies continue to investigate what caused the collision and are being assisted by the Washington State Patrol. Fire District 1 personnel from Carson and Skamania County EMS assisted at the scene.
