Le Guin, best-selling Oregon author, dies

PORTLAND — Ursula K. Le Guin, the award-winning science fiction and fantasy writer who explored feminist themes and was best known for her Earthsea books, has died at 88.

Le Guin was well known in the region, and often participated in festivals and workshops sponsored by Klindt’s Booksellers in The Dalles.
