Hood River Lions showcased their newest project, called The Lion Sleeps project; Lions will mass produce beds for families that do not have beds for their children. Local partners are Tum-a-Lum Lumber, Walmart and Murray’s Furniture. Referrals to the Lions Club will be in cooperation with DHS and Next Door Inc.

The August 18th Families in the Park concert brings the Canadian band “Eagle Eyes” to the stage starting at 7 pm.
They are one of the best tribute bands featuring the sounds of the legendary band The Eagles, said Mike Schend with Hood River Lions Club. The event is brought to the community by the Hood River Lions Club and the Gorge Community Foundation.
Other business sponsors for the Aug. 18 Families in the Park are NW Natural, Junaita’s Fine Foods, and Rosauers.
Food will be available in the park, provided by Paco’s Tacos as well as other vendors.
