It’s been a little over a year since this new edition of The Wasco Bros. had their first gig. The one year anniversary party will be Friday, May 20, at Clock Tower Ales, in the Dalles, from 8-11 p.m. Clock Tower is where it all started for them, and their music has stayed true to that pure Honky Tonk ethic which is twangin' and very danceable. Clocktower Ales, 311 Union St., The Dalles; 541-296-2602.
Mesa, Reynolds at The Pines
Matt Mesa and Mark Reynolds are two Gorge-based songwriters who share a love for roots-based, bluesy, Americana-esque music. Together, they'll trade songs back and forth and give a little insight into the stories behind the tunes. Friday, May 20, 6-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 21, it’s a blues show from Rusty Zinn and Mark Hummel, who have not been through town in quite some time. Get tickets early! The Pines Tasting Room, 202 Cascade Ave., Hood River; 541-993-8301.

The Hokum Pokum Show
Hokum Pokum is the musical duo of Ben Bonham and Madame Betz Oslund, with Ronnie Ontiveros on bass and Dennis Williams on clarinet, both of the Hapa Hillbillies, for this special show, playing long forgotten gems that are right up your alley. Madame Betz is a powerful singer with a marvelously theatrical delivery, and she and Bon-ham delve deeply into the rich tradition of naughty, rude and often very silly female/male duets. This is very much an ‘Adults Only’ show. Saturday, May 27, 7-9 p.m. The Moth Lounge, 105 Fourth St., Hood River; 541-387-7600.

Come see why gui-tar legend Chet Atkins called him “One of the few great musicians of our time.” Riverside Community Church, 317 State St., Hood River.
