Maryhill Museum of Art will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 27, 2014 as part of Smithsonian magazine’s tenth annual Museum Day Live! A nationwide event that offers free admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket at a participating museum or cultural institution.
The event is presented in the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s commitment to make learning and the spread of knowledge accessible to all, giving museums across all 50 states the opportunity to mirror the admission policy of the Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C. Last year, the event drew 400,000 participants, and this year record-high participation is expected.
Museum Day Live! tickets can be downloaded at www.smithsonian.com/museumdaylive. Visitors who present the ticket will gain entrance for two at an institution of choice on Saturday, September 27, 2014 only; one ticket per household, per email address.
