Visionseekerz at Moth lounge
On Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m., Moth Lounge presents Visionseekerz, a tribal jam band. Admission is free and these folks will rock! Playing a mix of original rock with some covers, this three man band from the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs shouldn't be missed.
Tuesday is Open Mic — performers welcome; just sign up and you are on starting at 8:30 p.m. On Fridays, it’s Karaoke with Mama Nita, as she spins your favorites starting at 8:30 p.m. On Oct. 17, Tyson Huckins rocks the house at 8:30 p.m. and Oct. 24 brings Ananas and the Papas. Eddie Corduroy and the Lighters provide a “Howl-a-ween” show on Oct. 31, 8 p.m. to midnight.

Northern Lights Flamenco Oct. 11
Seattle-based Flamenco dancer Savannah Fuentes brings her latest show, Northern Lights, to the Griffin House on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Savannah will be joined by cantaor j (male flamenco singer), direct from Spain, Juañarito and guitarist Bobby de Sofia.
Born in Seattle to parents of Puerto Rican and Irish ancestry, Savannah Fuentes began her studies in Seattle and continued in Spain with dancers such as Belen Maya and Cristobal Reyes. She currently tours throughout the western United States and has independently produced over 250 presentations and workshops featuring internationally recognized flamenco singers.

Gorge Grape Escape Oct. 10
The White Salmon Valley Education Foundation invites you to an imaginative evening of fantastic food, fine wine, and fun times at the 2015 Gorge Grape Escape on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon. The theme is “Just Imagine…” and attendees will have no problem imagining themselves involved in the many trips, sports packages, art and jewelry, and social events offered at the live auction. Then they can imagine how all that fun is going to help local schools and students. Doors open at 6 p.m. for cocktail hour and games, with dinner and auction to follow. Cowboy Poetry show Oct. 18
Western musicians and cowboy poets from five western states will take the stage at the Bingen Theater on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 4-6 p.m. in a one-time only matinee. This is an opportunity to see a variety of award-winning entertainers sharing some of the best music and poetry from our western culture. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10. Some of the performers will be: Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band, Western Music Association “Best of the Best” Harmony Group of the Year 2014; Tom Swearingen, two-time National Finals Rodeo Cowboy Poetry Contest winner; Duane Nelson, poet; Barbara Nelson, Academy of Western Artist's Swing Player of the Year; Larry Wilder, International Yodeling Champion; Panhandle Cowboys, Idaho's favorite western duo; Lynn Kopelke, poet/singer; The Hanson Family Singers, winners of this year's Crescendo Award for rising star talent; Jinny Cash, honky tonk piano player, Lemuel Pratt, singer. Country Dance returns Oct. 10
The Second Saturday Country Dance returns on October 10, to Rockford Grange. The dance caller will be Ned Leager from Portland and the band will be the Mill Creek String Band from the Mid Columbia Gorge area.
Dance lessons will begin at 7 p.m. All ages welcome. No partner required. Family friendly. All dances walked through first time. Enjoy an evening of Country Squares, Contras, Circle dances and a few Waltzes.
The dance will be at the Rockford Grange, on Barrett Road, Hood River. $6 for members, $7 for non-members, $1 for youth 16 and under.
