Bottles & Brushes 2024 took place on February 11 at Hood River Hotel.
Event staff staged the room with each participants' art supplies for the evening.
Participants received a charcuterie cup as a snack while they painted.
Couples and friends alike enjoyed their night at the Hood River Hotel paint-n-sip event.
HOOD RIVER — While some celebrated the Super Bowl and others the half-time show on Feb. 11, many in the Gorge were keen for a totally different activity hosted at the Hood River Hotel.
Bottles & Brushes 2024, a Valentine’s Day paint-n-sip event, took place in the Emerald Room at the hotel.
“My favorite part was a couple who have taken a paint class since 2016 when they met each other and have been doing it every year since. I love a good love story,” said operations manager Rachel Rand, who helped facilitate the event.
Forty people signed up to learn from local artist Vicki Brown; this event was her first class ever. She mentioned that participants were great listeners who were willing to experiment with the oil paints while sharing plenty of smiles and laughter.
“They made the most gorgeous Gorge paintings and I am so proud to have been a part of the event,” Brown said.
“[Bottles & Brushes] really brought the community together with laughter, love, and art. It wasn’t just about painting but connecting with each other and sharing a magical experience,” said Rand.
This paint-n-sip event is part of the Hood River Hotel’s effort to host more events that are for the community.
