HOOD RIVER — Columbia Gorge YoungLife will host its 13th annual Father-Daughter Dance on Feb. 22 at The Hood River Elks Lodge. This year’s theme is “Under the Sea.”
There are two dances to choose from — an afternoon dance from 3:30-5:30 p.m., and an evening dance from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for a father/daughter pair. Additional tickets for daughters can be purchased for $10 each.
Proceeds support camp scholarships for area youth. “Life can be expensive, and we are doing our best to help the kids who want to go to camp to be able to do so,” said a YoungLife news release.
“YoungLife is grateful for their local business sponsors that help in supporting the event each year,” said the news release.
YoungLife is a Christian based outreach ministry committed to being a presence in the lives of adolescents. YoungLife leaders show up in the world of adolescents, build positive relationships, and journey with them through the ups and downs of life. We have a variety of ongoing events that give kids a chance to be together and find meaning, hope and purpose. Our leaders are trained and equipped to mentor youth during these crucial years.
