Skamania County Weed Board, Aug. 3 — Skamania County's weed board has struggled to get landowners to take advantage of programs to help them get invasive plants off their property. Dallesport-Murdock Community Council, Aug. 13 — Concerns about local data center development took center stage as a Klickitat County Public Utility District commissioner stressed the facilities pay for their own power use, to some audience skepticism. Separately, county planners are putting out a survey for local input on an updated comprehensive land use plan, and discussions on an unmaintained but well-used playground were postponed.
